"Hope & Change"

...Obama, and his metaphoric polices seem real to some people. Dangerous to Free Enterprise and Individualism.  Regulating wealth expands poverty. And has the opposite effect, of what is has recently been described as a "level playing field" and does not achieve or meet the demands of an alienated class of people, manipulated, maligned then ultimately believing what they have been told. That belief is, that there shortcomings and there failings, are a result of greed by others. Instead of keeping pace and making the constant corrections needed to maintain contemporary or more sophisticated lifestyle.

Music & Art

Illustrated expression and musical composition has never been divided by a fine line.
The two mediums have always been intertwined. Also they have molded Culture and refined the human experience. With the advent recorded sound vinyl records have always gave special presentation to the music you listen to. It has started trends, in fashion, attitude and social conscience.
Vinyl  records, and the artwork on the covers have always been special. The relationship such as; "The Velvet Underground" together with  "Andy Warhol" or art students from Ohio, known as "Devo" who have contributed to this relationship. Also to music videos' a genre that has had a tremendousness influence on the culture at large, aspects of which where I wouldn't even know where to begin...Except maybe with, well (Here it Comes), MTV
One way to promote an album, was with a little bit of  flare or abstract expression that was out of ordinary. Giving the boring and conventional standard black discs, just something more than just music. Picture Discs, was an exciting way for the listener to experience music. For the collector it added just a little more. One being value, some rare and others not so much. The digital format, known as compact discs can also can be produced in the same way. But like some may say, size does matter. One aspect of the compact discs, is a slight flaw. The detail of the artwork is difficult to see as well as the booklet insert.
Vinyl is making a come back, with me it has never really left. It's popularity is growing once again;  many old classics are being reissued, not just in CD format, but there original vinyl form. Yard sales, Flea markets and used record shops are the place to go. So spend a day just shopping, even if it's for an old copy of The Velvet Underground or John Coltrane. So, I'm going to help promote the growth of this great format and continue buying and collecting them. New or used, they are all great treasures...
Next time, I'm going to explore the the great world of turntables, AKA "Phonographs"
                         ♫ Long live Vinyl...♫

Controlling a Culture

Where is the shame, when publicly displaying one's hypocrisy to advance an agenda or control a culture. Popular thought or opinion is not always shared, but groomed. Cloaked with terms such as common sense, in or out of the main stream. Terms meant alienate and intimidate the sensibilities of people who rely and are dependent on a system, that illustrates a vision  of despair if you consider an alternative idea. Emotions can often overrule logic and  "Main Stream" terms characterized as progressive thought, putting emphasis on adolescent idealism. An unrealistic almost Utopian existence could prevail if certain concepts are acknowledged.
Individualism is easily compromised by temptation and give in to there self interests represented by popular culture

Osama ☪

Revenge is not Justice. Revenge is Primitive custom and endeavor, and belongs in the past with other biblical judgments and concepts.
Another is Martyrdom, that is usually fallowed by the violent act of vengeance. set off a series of events that continues until one or the other is destroyed or evolves. Capitulation then peace

al-Qaeda...

"UBL"...Osama bin Laden, his death means nothing to me. "Revenge" is is not a virtue and it's not a value that I posses. This is not Justice...But it is petty. The jubilation will subside, and our fight and theres will continue. But no one really cares much about what I think...Oh, and the real pettiness has NOT even begun yet...The assertions, and the preposterous accusations between American citizens, within many different levels government leadership and it's various operatives within the news media....Watch and listen, it is going too get interesting.

The False Promise of Green Energy | Cato Institute: Book Forum

Re Vinyl

DJs and and a handful of enthusiasts are breathing life into a pure form of recorded sound. Vinyl records have introduced it self to a new generation of musical fanatics. The DJ has become a Star not just at clubs, but large an supper arenas. Talent like "Grand Master Flash" to "Paul vanDyk" and "Underworld".
But the old school people , like my self have found light at the end of a narrow and dark tunnel. Looking and finding original and sometimes remastered music reissued on pressed vinyl records. A lot of Websites and independent record shops are slowly filling there shelves with this great medium, along with millions off used and rare records.
Late 1973,early 74 I bought a copy of "Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon". Many days and nights listening, (Often with headphones) the disc and the jacket wore out. Commemorating the Thirtieth anniversary of that release, the "Floyd" has re-mastered and released that very Masterpiece. On virgin vinyl with the very same posters and two 4x6 in. stickers. The best value I found was on "Amazon.com", though many online sites carry it. ♫

Vinyl Records

I have noticed a growing interest in vintage and new vinyl records, by the use of DJs and there new fond popularity and the success in Hip Hop or rap, through the use of sampling from old vinyl recordings. And there is the unique quality of the sound of analog recordings, that some listeners claim to hear . I confess I am one.
Later I will list some of the great places to get new and used records...Thanks

Music ♫ "I Love Vinyl"

I'v noticed that there has been a resurgent of some of the non, main stream musical talent that had small but loyal fallowing in the late 70s early 80s. These bands, for instance from Long Island, NY the Ramones and from the UK, the Sex Pistols. There was a long time, important fixture to the musical scene with it's reputation of featuring new and also established talent, and that place was CBGBs in NYC. There was one band for the most part, pioneered an offshoot of the "Punk" sound. This sound known for it's high speed, raw and to the point attitude,it was called "Hardcore". Latter spawning Thrash and Speed Metal. There was one band that had that fire and they are the Bad Brains. Giving rise to bands such as The Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, Flipper, and so many more that I would love to list. But to my surprise and delight, The Bad Brains from Washington D.C. have reissued an exact copy of there first 7" 45rpm single, "Pay To Cum" I couldn't have been happier, since I love Vinyl records. If your interested, go too...  http://www.badbrainsofficialstore.com/dontpaytocum/  and check it out.
More music posting later ♫

Net Neutrality and the Fairness Doctrine

Just Thinking☁ Again, matters of equality. Legislation that would determine ones perception of fairness. Based on a concept of social justice and not equal justice. Limiting speech and opinion not deemed main stream by an elitists class of individuals that see them selves as a educated progressive advanced gourd. To champion laws like the "Fairness Doctrine", which would certainly violate the first Amendment of the US constitution.
Individuals are under no obligations to be fair. The said concept, is a question of conscience, self determination and personal morality. Also free Enterprise in regard to broadcasting a message or advocacy of an opinion shared by a group or an individual. Fairness can not lend credence to such a law that is meant to control the ideas and words of an opposing point of view. These laws would be truly be oppressive

Big Government

Just Thinking☁ Fear Government, that determines issues of fairness. Success and failure, exceptional thought, opinion or expression that is not main stream.

The Poor

Just Thinking☁ Ah, everyone claims to care about the poor in America and abroad. But there are some that suggest that many of the rich and political advocates of the said rich are some how responsible for making their plight worse. That would suggest they had some thing of value in the first place. there are many reason for poverty in America, one is not theft. It would be a paradox to suggest that government tax cuts to wealthy people and corporations is taking money from the poor.  It simply stops the redistribution of private property from one class to the other.
What are the poor doing to help the poor. if the poor don't pay taxes but receive money from citizens who do, is just called a grant or plain giving. The wealthy keeping there money, is referred to as heartless and sometimes as theft.
These thoughts are going to require more time, for a more thorough and productive conclusion.

Europe and Libya

Just Thinking☁ In an effort to reclaim "American Prestige and Respect". Formulating a scheme to appease European economic advantage when it comes to it's need for oil. A vast majority of Libya's oil and natural gas goes to Europe. Where was Europe when Bosnia needed help, in their own back yard?
In the 1990s Iraq's "Oil for Food " program evolved in to a UN unsanctioned free for all. Deals were made by certain countries in Europe. Continued lobbying and prodding in regard to the UN security council, to lift or lighten sanctions against Iraq, to give contracts legitimacy to these corrupt UN deals . After 9-11-01 Many countries saw America as vulnerable. And they pounced at the chance to be greedy.  George Bush saw things differently. And pushed back, by invading Iraq, making it difficult for some to exploit the resources of Iraq.
President Obama sees things differently too, "World Governing" drawling people away from nationalism "One Word Culture" or Order The George Soros plan, It reminds me when John Kerry called for a international minimum wage during his presidential run...Why are US Unions stirring up things in Europe.  "Workers of the World Unite" Where have I heard that? The war in Libya for Europe's oil will soon be explained. Iraq is becoming more clear to me now. Not how or why it was waged, but why there was so much opposition to it. Both here and abroad.
It's a shame the opposition to the Iraq war had nothing to do with violence or the lose of life,
and I fear the same will be true of Libya.

Media Matters ☭

Just Thinking☁     "Media Matters" has proven to be Fascists, idealistic adolescent crybabies. A cooperative system way of living that will change once they are kicked out of their parents houses, and forced to live in the real world...
By the way, I don't believe god exists, and I'm not ultra right wing, so now you may know were I'm coming from, if not you also may not understand what I am writing about.
I don't believe all "Progressives" live at home with their parents, but cling to an idea of entitlement that comes from years of social enabling by parents, academia and of course the Media...Just Thinking, O and Government may also want get out of the social engineering game.
So, Media Matters claims to be a watchdog group with a level regard for accuracy and truth when it come to broadcast news media outlets. That couldn't be further from the truth.
They are an advocacy group with no regard for objective reporting, hardly Progressive, They are illinformed and irrational with a narrow minded objective to silence anyone who disagrees with them, or the people who champion there beliefs... Beyond Propaganda, it's Thuggery. Plain and simple.

Gordon's Forum: Public Unions

Beginning with the question of equality, or ones concept of  fairness. Legislators, on behalf of the public has provide state employees with certain privileges, along with a good salary. But with a strategically structured contract that is inconsistent with the open and fair market exchange. I think that the public deserves, and can get a better deal.

An advocate for the people. That trust has been lost, forfeited to groups who's interests are only to it's members.
I'm talking about Unions. Taking credit for an entire class off people, without a patent product or an Idea, has manipulated and misled an entire population. Now fractured and weary, the people struggle to repair the collective damage done by all. Our greed our ignorance has led us astray, but our belief  in our selves can change
the direction of our future.

New York Times

Paul Krugman; well...He is an asshole. I feel that way at times, when I read or hear little blurbs from that "Rag" the "NYTs" or some other media outlets, topics that lead with innuendo and conjecture... And they all do it. Using trust as a commodity and not a virtue. Well, thats fucking disturbing...Newspapers used to report. now they have a social and political agendas....Feel free to comment Paul, I don't enjoy calling people assholes, but man ya have to call a Hack a Hack sometimes. Print journalism needs help.  Economists are tools to be used by Professional Business Visionaries. Like calculators in the middle of your desk drawer...

Gridlock

The less congress does, benefits the country more than it's citizens realize. The rhetoric that is used is meant to purposely manipulate the public, that government is responsible for there success or failure. Value is created by the private sector not by government, setting a national mininum wage has created problems that economist refuse to even consider. The minimum wage has always been a set start for union  negotiation or what I like to call a shake down...Sheep
